Western Fire & Safety Co., Inc. was founded in February, 1987, by its current owner, Mirza S. Agha.
   Mirza has a background in the Fire Industry of over 30 years of first-hand experience and has, in fact, been involved in various aspects of the Fire & Safety Equipment related industry throughout his working career.
    The company was initially started by him and his wife, with the intent to specialize in the Marine industry, as well as expand the business to cater to the servicing needs of other clientele. 
    Over the years, the company has made significant growth in this field, and has become a well-recognized, respected and reputable company. They are a leader in the industry, and can offer their customers first-hand experience, knowledge, quality products, and stability. 
    Western Fire & Safety gainfully employs qualified, trained, and licensed fire equipment technicians, who all have specialized knowledge in the field, and will be able to provide their customers with quality products, customer service, and skill.
    

The company is conveniently located on the waterfront Ballard (Seattle) area, and has a full shop service and display facility for the convenience of its customers. They carry a significant amount of inventory for items sold in the normal course of business, which allows customers the ease of one-stop-shopping for their safety needs. The company also offers full in-house shop service of fire safety equipment, field service, and local, national and occasional international service upon request. They have gained the confidence of many local, national, and international customers through their several years of experience. Shop facilities include DOT Approved Hydrostatic Pressure Testing using the latest high-speed equipment, Carbon Dioxide, Halon 1211 & 1301, FM200, and other chemical recharging. They also provide Fire Hose testing and repair, SCBA unit Flow Testing and Certification using the latest POSI 3 System, and many other fire safety equipment service needs. 
    Western Fire & Safety is approved by several agencies including ABS, DNV, Lloyd's Register, Germanischer Lloyd's, Russian Maritime Register, and Class NK Approval. They are also able to provide Approved U.S. Coast Guard Inspections. Certifications also include local Seattle Fire Department approvals and Factory Training Certification.
    Western Fire & Safety has accomplished several significant achievements over the past 17 years of operation, including sales, service and installation of fire safety equipment on board over 300 vessels per year, ranging from personal yachts to fishing vessels, commercial vessels, container ships, service of Carbon Dioxide fire systems for various Washington Dams, supply and installation of pre-fabricated containerized CO2 Cargo Hold Systems on board Container Ships, service of fire equipment to the entire City of Seattle and subsidiaries, and exports of Breathing Apparatus Equipment, Fireman's Bunker Gear, and other safety equipment to such places as Trinidad, Thailand, Norway, and other foreign countries.
